“Medical Aid for Oceania” is a Berrima Rotary overseas aid project and registered with Rotary Australia World Community Service – RAWCS Project 48/2012-13. This is a joint venture between Berrima Rotary and Ramsay Health Care and involves surplus- to -requirements medical equipment and consumables being collected from Ramsay private hospitals around Australia and shipped by the club to communities in need. In 2012 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Ramsay and this club. To date equipment has been sent to Fiji, Mozambique, PNG and shortly Philippines and Vietnam. The project has the support of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australia & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
