A FABULOUS night of Rock’n’Roll was had by all on Saturday May 25 at the MittagongĀ  RSL.

The costumes were sensational, the Diner looked sensational and a good time was had by all who had the good fortune to be there.

The Cruise on “The World” fetched $15,000 and all up we made quite a deal of money. Final numbers will become available in a few days.

Thank you to our sponsors, thank you to our members, thank you to Darren Powell and Nell Shepherd for wonderful entertainment and the mighty Firebyrds just helped us to rock the night away.

A great success!! Thanks to all who helped.

A new Paul Harris Fellow

On Wednesday April 30 the three Southern Highlands Rotary clubs gathered at Annesley in Bowral for an Italian evening. Nicola Lindsay from the Olive Leaf Cafe catered for the evening with wonderful bowls of a creamy pasta followed by Tiramisu. There was much laughter and great spirit as the Rotarians socialised and shared stories over dinner.
DG Maureen Manning and AG Tony Glenn joined the celebrations and we had a fun ‘Jan Edwards Roast’ before presenting Jan with a Paul Harris Fellow Award in recognition of the community work she does throughout the Highlands as well as her two consecutive years as President of the Rotary Club of Berrima District.
It was recognition well deserved and DG Maureen Manning was there to do the ‘pinning’.Jan Jan2

Teddy Bear’s Picnic

The Rotaract Club of the Southern Highlands hosted the Teddy Bear’s Picnic in Glebe Park, Bowral on Sunday 23 February.

TBP #1

It was a fun event with a Bouncing Castle, Face-painting, donut munching and hat making and lots and lots of enthusiastic kids with bears in tow.
Moss Vale Rotary provided the sausage sizzle and cooked well over 100 sausages to cater to the enthusiastic picnickers.
